Botox is a neurotoxin that works by blocking the signals from the nerves to the targeted muscles so that muscle can no longer contract. This causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. The effect is temporary and lasts between 3 and 7 months depending on the person. Injections can take 7-10 days to have full effect. Areas that can be treated are as follows:

Dr Jago graduated as a doctor in 2008 after five years of medical training at the Peninsula Medical School here in Plymouth.
After several years in hospital medicine she then furthered her education by pursuing her interests in clinical beauty by completing advanced training in administration of botulinum Toxin Type A (BOTOX R) and a further advanced training in providing Dermal fillers. Her qualifications are from the highly acclaimed London School of Facial Aesthetics. This level of education is accredited by the General Medical Council, with a reputation for safe and professional treatment.
